Presence
The rep taps Start visit. The phone records its GPS fix at that instant and the server records the time. There is no background tracking. Location exists only at check-in, evidence and checkout.

Evidence
Every photo is taken live inside the app. The gallery is not an option. Coordinates, trusted time and the outlet name are burned into the image before it leaves the phone, so a forwarded photo is obvious.

Trusted time
The app keeps a clock synced with the server. If the phone clock has been moved, the visit still carries the true time, and the drift is recorded as a signal.

Grade
At upload, every visit is scored from its signals: a mock location app present, running on an emulator, distance from the outlet pin, travel time from the previous outlet, clock drift. The result is one of three words: clean, suspect, spoofed.
mock_location: true · distance 4.2 km · verdict: spoofed

Review
Flagged visits wait in a queue. A supervisor opens the evidence, approves or rejects with a reason, and the decision is logged. Only approved visits enter reports. A rejected visit reopens the outlet for a real one.
review: rejected · reason: mock-location · outlet reopened
Same visit, two sides of the record.
The rep only ever sees their own work. The verdict lives with the reviewer.
- Live camera · watermark verified
- Device within 40 m of outlet
- Server time · no clock drift
- Mock-location app detected
- Device 4.2 km from outlet at check-in
- Photo captured 38 s after previous outlet
The same rules for the day
Attendance works the same way.
A selfie to start the day, a checkout to end it, location at those two moments. Between them the rep is a professional doing their job, not a dot on a map.
Honest about the edges
What the grade does not catch.
And what happens on the day it is wrong.
A mock GPS set exactly on the outlet pin
Distance alone will not catch it. The grade also looks at whether a mock-location app is installed, whether the device is an emulator, travel time from the previous outlet and clock drift, and the live watermarked photo has to show the shelf. Several signals have to agree before a visit looks clean.
A rep standing outside the outlet
GPS on a cheap phone in a market is accurate to tens of metres. Rekorro allows for that. A check-in a few metres from the pin is clean; one four kilometres away is not.
A genuine visit that gets flagged
It is held, not deleted. A supervisor opens the photo, the map and the signals, approves it, and it enters the report. Rejections need a written reason. No rep is penalised by the grade alone.
A rep the grade never sees
Grades run on the server at upload, on every visit, with no way for the rep to switch them off. The rep app shows the rep their own work and never the verdict.
What it never does
- Track a rep between outlets. Location is captured at check-in, evidence and checkout only.
- Accuse the rep. The rep app shows their own work. Verdicts and flags are visible only to reviewers.
- Decide alone. The grade is a signal. A person approves or rejects every flag.
Forward this to the person who signs off field reports.
